The Rescuers
With watchful mind they move through each day
Buying groceries, taking children to school, fighting traffic
Doing each day as you each choose.
They or you are among us, unseen, unknown,
Mindful of threats, ready to respond to protect lives,
At the peril of their own
Disbelief that it could happen to you,
Safe in the cocoon of your daily existence.
Yet, they remain, watchful, ready to respond
to human catastrophe and your choices.

ME AND THE BEE
For one moment in the vast continuum of time,
for which truly has no measure,
with no start or stop,
there was simply
Just the Bee and Me
The bee being just a bee
and I was just being me.
